Trump lashes out at London's mayor, again

Asked if Trump was criticizing the mayor of London because he is Muslim, Sanders said that was "utterly ridiculous".

On Monday, Clinton called for strengthened ties with global allies - a clear contrast with Trump, who has in recent days alarmed North Atlantic Treaty Organisation allies and withdrawn the United States from a Paris climate accord.

This was a total misrepresentation by Trump and so he was criticized for the tweet, but Monday morning he jumped back into the controversy: "Pathetic excuse by London Mayor Sadiq Khan who reacted fast on his 'no reason to be alarmed" statement.

USA lawmakers from both political parties criticized Trump for raising the travel ban and assailing Khan.

Speaking on the BBC, Mr Khan made clear that he was advising Londoners and visitors not to be concerned by the presence of additional armed police officers on the streets of the capital in the days to come, and not playing down anxieties about the attack itself.

Trump will announce decision on climate agreement Thursday
Trump dismissed the scientific consensus that rising temperatures are caused primarily by fossil fuels like coal and oil. The United States committed to reduce its emissions by 26 to 28 percent from 2005 levels by 2025.

But Trump seized on only a small portion of Khan's remarks, tweeting Sunday: "At least 7 dead and 48 wounded in terror attack and Mayor of London says there is 'no reason to be alarmed!'"

The war of words was the latest episode in a long simmering conflict between Trump and Khan, a Muslim who was elected as London's mayor in May 2016.

Trump's extraordinary attacks on the popular mayor of a grieving city have disgusted many Londoners, reigniting opposition to a state visit by the American president to the United Kingdom planned for later this year.

"It's even more important that we work together with our allies and our friends and our partners - yes, to keep us safe, but also to expand our understanding of what we can achieve together", Clinton said.

In the final tweet in the series, Trump noted that the London attackers used a van to slam into pedestrians and then assaulted people with knives.

It sounds like Apple's Siri speaker will be worth the wait
Unfortunately for those that want to get their hands on such a speaker, it won't ship until later on this year. Apple senior vice president Phil Schiller said earlier in May that voice-control devices often need a screen .

"I've been doing far more important things over the last 24 hours", he says.

Khan, a human rights lawyer and practicing Muslim hails from Pakistan, has challenged repeatedly Trump's calls to ban Muslims or people from Muslim countries from entering the U.S, saying the president has a "rude view of Islam".

"No reason to be alarmed", Khan said, describing a more visible presence as "one of things the police and all of us need to do to make sure we are as safe as we possibly can be".

In March, after an attack by an Islamic militant that left five people dead in Westminster, central London, Trump's son Donald Trump Jr. issued a tweet that criticised Khan.
